YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!

Today I played my first game of pool.
Okay, to be honest, I havenn't played before.
After service today, Liangwei was asking us(me and some others) if we wanna play
And we went.

A few of us( include me) didn't know how to play.
Me didn't know how to hold stick. >.<
So the guys taught us
My first hit was terrible.. couldn't even hit the target for five cm
But then later learned and improved..
Funny how when its my turn its always "Free Ball"
I can place the white ball(the one used for hitting) anywhere I like
And so everytime "free ball" I could strike
They were commenting that my targetting is accurate
but my strength is bad >.<

So I went for choir pratice today..
but dun think I can perform..
cuz performance is on 1st Jan and I haven't learned the hallelujah chorus yet
Too complicated
I am singing alto btw
There are 4 sections from highest to lowest - soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
Apparently, the teacher really recognises me ( I only went for practice twice recently)
Even from behind he knows its me
~Photographic memory ba~

Last but not least.. I'm waiting for the results. :D
Seems like many people's talking 'bout it now
Not sure if its on 15Jan that we get results ( cuz some say its 11 or 12 or 13 or whatever)

Well then, that will mean end of misery due to boredom from rotting at home
Oohlala~

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! =) =) =)

Yea.. today is the 3rd day of Christmas yea. Haven't been updating lately la. Had a Christmas dinner with my family on Christmas. Sadly, there are only the four of us since the rest of my relatives are either in Hong Kong or Australia. Even my cousin's cousin's family, who migrated here from Hong Kong(just like us) migrated to Australia. Really really envy the people who have plenty of relaives and cousins in their country la.

Went out East Coast and Parkway Parade on Boxing Day. This is one of the favourite hangouts of my family other than Sentosa(so don't be surprised if you see me and my family there someday).

Well, I guess that's all.

If I could, I would. If only..

Well, whatever. Or maybe it's better not to talk about it.

Today, as we were on our way to the club( we were going swimming btw) I saw my church choir instructor, who askd me to go back choir. Still thinking about it la. Well, to be honest, I'm not the type who faithfully go for all church activities other than Sunday pei xun.(I feel guilty of course). My churchmates are really friendly and nice people la, except that I am not that close to them except that I am more close to Kaikee.

Got the baptism ceremony just two days ago. Yep.. next year I am old enough to be officially baptised. And I dunno if I..

Went to Dunearn Sec to accompany my brother buy school uniform and books today. And the thing is, the #$%#$%#^#^ auntie thought I was the kid who is sec1 next year who is going to buy uniform and took out a size 32 blouse out for me to try. AARGH!! As if after spending four years in secondary school, I stilll don't look matured enough to be a secondary student. BooHooHoo.. I really don't know what to say..

And I guess I shall stop here..

Yesteday was my father's birthday..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

Ok, in summary, we went to Southern Ridge, pass thru "Dunno wat" waves, went up Mt Faber and went down again.
Shall just describe the more interesting things (since I am lazy to type):

1. On bus 945, the bus driver kept punching his fist into the air, alternating between both hands. Yea.. one hand would be punching air and the other one controlling the steering wheel. I was controlling not to laugh.

2. At Southern Ridge, saw some signs describing the germination of saga seeds.
Conditions for saga seeds to germinate (any one):

a)Soak in sulphuric acid
b)Boil for one minute
c)Leave a sratch on it

Hmm.. any scientific explanations? Maybe I was just cock-eyed or what and saw the words wrongly.
Oh, speaking of saga seeds, has anyone found a heart-shaped one yet? I've kept searching for ages, but yet to find one. If I ever find one I think I'll give it to ________. Haha. (Oh btw dun assume, cuz I'm still single, yeah?)

3. At Marks and Spencers, we heard a loud scream and everyone, being startled, looked at that direction. Turns out that a salesgirl(or stock packer) who was standing on a ladder dropped a can of jam onto the floor and it smashed (not exactly, just cracked). Of course, the jam spilled on the floor. It is not the can-dropping which is startling. It was the intensity of her scream. (like a dog was biting her )

Later went to Orchard and had dinner in a Crystal Jade restaurant serving ShangHai food. Went Kino too. That's all I guess.

Found this quiz on Cailin's blog so did it

IQ Test
Free-IQTest.net - IQ Test

I doubt the results lah..
Dad says the average person's IQ 110+ and 120+ is quite "QUITE SMART ALREADY"
I think this is more of a general knowledge and math quiz lol
My Dad say in Hong Kong they used to have a IQ test for everybody in secondary sch
Aren't they lucky? I wanna know my real IQ.

PS: There was this four year old girl featured in Straits Times who had IQ 200 and I guess she couldn't have done quizzes la.. I wonder how scientists find out the IQ of someone..

Finally, almost a month of the holidays have passed.

And I haven't found a job yet.

Okay, i went for a job interview yesterday. What I think - the boss/interviewer is wierd. The first thing he asked "ni shi zhong guo ren ar?" And the whole interview was in Chinese. I was questioned wierd things lol. Instead of asking the usual things, he asked me things like if I liked Hong Kong more or S'pore more(in response to the first question). And he also say I very young. Me suspects its a hint to a reason for not hiring me.

Okay, I DO ADMIT THAT I THINK THE REASON I WAS REJECTED SO MANY TIMES IS DUE TO MY DAMN HEIGHT. So far I've only tried for interviewing for those servicing jobs(what job can I do otherwise?), and I know people like to hire people who look good, which definitely includes tall. AHHHHHHHH.. I WANNA BE TALLER!!!!

Okay, at least this is not the worst case. 2 days ago, I was having a buffet dinner at Salt Water(Changi Village hotel). When my parents footed the bill, the waitress asked me what is my age to decide whether I am to be charged the adult or child price. HELLO? I AM ALREADY SIXTEEN AND A HALF. DO I LOOK LIKE I AM UNDER TWELVE? Grr..must be because of my height and "not matured enough look". Sadly, this kind of scenario seems to be in the genes. One of my aunts(maternal side) went to a pub and people asked to check her ID. But do you know, SHE WAS ALREADY 29 THEN. Worst still, when she was 27, she was at a flight in Cathay Pacific and the air stewardass gave her the Chilrens gift, mistaking her for a child. Then my another aunt(paternal side) said last time when she was on holiday when she was twenty-something yrs old, while the tourguide counted the children, he counted her as well, mistaking her as a child

WTF. This is so depressing. Don't tell me I am going to suffer the same fate. I guess the only advantage is that I don't have to look very old when I am in my granny days. Gah.

Looking on the bright side, my family and I went to Pulau Ubin 2 days ago. Thankfully it didn't rain and it wasn't too sunny. I was surprised when my brother told me that over 100 villagers lived there. The car plates there are also different. They are all green colour with PU being the first two digits. There are many wild chickens and dogs.

My Mum became very afraid of the dogs after a dog followed her and tried to grab the plastic bag which my Mum was holding from her using its mouth. My Mum gave a loud scream which scared the dog away. Not much things happened there. The 'SGP M1-3GSM' logo on me and my Mums phone turned into 'My Maxis'. Dad's one turned into 'My Celcom'. We also received messages like 'Welcome to Malaysia...'(when we are only in Pulau Ubin)

Want to upload photos but my computer is too lag. Went swimming today while it was raining(my family say it's cooler, won't have a blazing sun which cause hurt to eyes and prefers it this way).

I hope I continue to blog regularly. Feels like I'm already blogging less frequently.

Okay, that's all for now.

A random quote:(which i find useful)

*Don't think of yourself as a coward because you're scared. The difference between a hero and a coward is not fear, but what you do with the fear.*

This, shall be the beginning of a very long post.. for the entire week, yea? Lets begin with guides camp..

Friday to Saturday [Guides Camp] 05.12.08 to 06.12.08

Went to Guides Camp on the second day. First thing I saw - Gabrielle, Hannah and Adeline walking out of the school gates. Then I went to Guide Den and was told that Yixin went for class outing. So didn't see her then. Saw her hamster instead and had fun playing withit for the day. But I shall still say Weiyun is the best hamster caretaker. Haha.

Next, went to accompany Amanda for lunch and then kaypoh around for awhile before Weiyun came. Played badminton and basketball with them until nighttime. Sigh.. long time never play sports already. (except for running and swimming. Sit-ups are not counted.lol.) Want to play more often - anyone wanna play eh?

At night, Weiyun had to leave the camp cuz she still have work to do the next day. Amanda and I cooked instant noodles for dinner while the juniors had a hard time setting up the barberque pit in which in the end they succeeded. There was this wierd sound of an ancient phone ringing from the physics lab.( Which is kinda creepy, since WHO would be using tha lab during the school holidays at 8pm?)During dinnertime Yixin was still not back so me and Amanda kept calling her and were like "Yixin, will you be coming back.."

The night was exciting (or I might say, creepy). Spent the entire night playing Uno and chatting and listening to music. The Sec1 and 2s were fast asleep and Sec3s were setting up the buddy hike.

Suddenly, "Dom.. Dom.. Domm.." (from I think the home econs room)

We were like extremely scared since no sane person would do construction in the dead of the night( ard 2am?) so I suggested it might be our juniors(which in the end turned out to be otherwise). Then before the buddy hike, Carina told the juniors about the black cat story in our school. You know, every year there will be a dead cat found near 3E1 classroom, and that happened even in the year when 3E1 was in the ground floor. Oh gosh, Amanda, Weiyun and me just saw a black cat in the school that same evening. Later on during the buddy hike Amanda, Yixin, Agnes, Gabrielle, Hannah and me had to sit in front of the Physics lab aka the end point. I had MP3 music blasting in my ears since I didn't want to hear anything "unnatural". Then later on when the first two pairs were here all of us sat frozen when we saw the black cat roaming by itself. One of the juniors even asked, "You all brought it here one ar?" NoNoNoNo..
Of course we didn't la.. we are not that daring one la..

Then after the hike we were in the Guide Den when we suddenly heard "Miaow",
with the cat nowhere in sight, to which Amanda and I unintentionally and simultaneously recoil in horror. Some brave Sec3s were not just unafraid, they were eager to find the cause of the miaowing. Lol. Then for the rest of the night Amanda, Yixin, I slept in the Guide Den cuz we were too freaked out to sleep in the quadrangle (aka the place of sighting of the mysterious cat). We chatted till 6am since we were not too keen to sleep after all those wierd happenings. Wow, guess that was the longest time I ever chatted non-stop with you two.

The next morning kinda normal, but sleepy, since only slept for an our. We played basketball for some time, then helped out in making the water bombs. We also unpitched the tent( but I think I might have forgotten the skill already). Before we left, the nice juniors gave us dried mangoes from Philiphines. Yeah.. taste delicious.

Overall, I think I'll miss guides. And Swiss Cottage too. And someone. Yeah.. I love the days when we were juniors most. Will miss wearing the Swiss Cottage and the Guides uniform. Ahh.. I'll always treasure the memories, whether good or bad. And somehow, I hope I'll still be able to visit when I graduate.

Thanks for the memories. Love you all lots. Please keep in touch, okay?

Tuesday 02.12.08

That day, went with Cherlyn, Kasturi and Zhiying to watch movie. Went Lido to watch Wildchild and Quarantined. Wildchild was a hilarious movie, and the theme is like friendship and trust. Yup, very teenage. Its something like High School Musical.
Quarantined, on the other hand, is a @%$#^&%&#@$%$ movie. Felt irritated after watching it and didn't want to pay for the tickets initially. Watching it was TOTALLY not my idea. Got thinking that it was some vampire comedy (according to someone's description). Kas seemed very eager to buy the tickets lol. Anyway, I would TOTALLY go against watching the movie. The shaking of the camera made me dizzy after just a few minutes and the scenes are ghastly, horrible and of nothing interesting. So don't watch it (unless u think u have too much $$).
Oh, and by the way NO MORE HORROR movies okay. I am afraid. Once is enough. Forever.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Monday 01.12.08

Watched the Kung Fu Panda movie CD at home with my family. Didn't watched it at the cinemas since it was kinda near the exams. I think it is very motivating and touching too. Found the quotes interesting. An enjoyable cartoon movie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunday 30.11.08

Went with my family to West Coast Park and West Coast Plaza. Was feeling irritated initially due to the rain. But then I found that the coast is beautiful and unique, with the numerous sailing boats around. Yeah, The Sailing Club is just opposite. And would like to go there someday (if someone would bring me~) We also saw some wild ducks, which is extremely rare in Singapore, in some swamps there. They look cute swimming there. Then we went to West Coast Plaza saw some stilt-walkers there. Sadly, since most of the mall is still under renovation, there isn't a lot to see. Had dinner at Korean BBQ chicken (first time heard that restuarant).
And its nice. Worth eating at lah.

Okay.. Time really flies.. and its December already. Well, I'm going to Guides Camp tomorrow. Long time never blog already.. Shall condense it into a super long post when I come back from there.

Till then.

I've read somewhere..

*In life, we seem to be always suffering, but when we look closer, its the mental turmoil we are experiencing.. physically, we are actually feeling alright.*

Yea.. How true. But knowing that don't make me feel better.
