Happy Belated birthday Amanda! Anyway, this post is dedicated to her since she asked me to start blogging again. :D

Ya.. So nothing much has changed.. I am still myself anyway except that I'm now in a different school. Went back to Swiss on Fri but sadly, the teachers all went home already. Then also went gym with priyangha and gang. Also went to Lot1 to celebrate Amanda's birthday on Sat. Initially, we wanted to eat Sakae but sad, they don't have buffet for saturday.. so we ate at LJS instead. The went to join my parents in Orchard at evening.

Kinda busy now.. The tests are starting and gotta mug soon.. or else will lose out, since some ppl mugging intensively (u noe who) already. I think I can't cope that well in maths and bio >.< Went for line camp interview today but dunno can get in or not.. the interview was so formal lol. Currently don't have cca, cuz dunno what i wanna join.

Guess thats for all now. I'm tired. Shall update more when I have time.

I see. Well, I guess I haven't been updating about my activities since many many moons ago.

Okay, I have finished working since last Friday. Did nothing much since then.. reading, TV-ing, using comp, helpng out in random housework and also my regular routine of swimming and jogging. Then there's church on Sunday. Went out too..

Anyway, places I've been to recently for Jan (not in order, cuz i can't rmb the dates):

- Marina Barrage with family ( First time being there. The scenery is refreshing, but the place is kinda boring I guess. Looks like a giant rock from afar. Took many pics, I think. The only problem is that there ar no buses accesible there and have to rely on the minibus that comes per half n hour.)

-East Coast Park with family ( Been there many many times. Same story I guess.)

-Went to Amanda's house to play badminton with her, Weiyun and Yixin. It was kinda windy and the shuttlecock kept flying into some liquid that dauntingly smells like dog urine. YX and A kept squealing as the shuttlecock flew to them. They kept trying not to touch the shuttlecock and so when it dropped onto the ground they were using their legs to kick it up the racket. Amanda kept dancing as she served the shuttlecock. lol. Oh, and didn't know WY has an affinity for toddlers. She was trying to lure a toddler to follow her. Lol.

-Went to Causeway Point on Mon to serve an errand for someone.

-Went to CCA orientation for both days last week. Me, yixin and Amanda went on first day and on second day, Weiyun came too, and Yixin didn't come. Played badminton and also to visit the juniors.

-Went to Amanda's house to play monopoly yesterday. Yep.. the four of us again. Weiyun brought some mini mandarin oranges and vitasoy, and we also finished the whole pack of KoKo Crunch in Amanda's house. It was the funniest at the end when yixin had to go off and she autioned her properties away. We ( or is it only me?) were trying to get as much properties as possible. In the end I got the most properties. Hahaha. :)

- AJC open house. Was initially surprised by how it looked. >.<

Time just flies.

And well, I guess today is the last day I am going to Swiss Cottage on a typical day. Today is the last day I am selling uniform in Swiss.

You see, I just realized it early this year that the days I have left in Swiss Cottage is limited. O yes, I guess its probably too late to regret now, but I wish I had cherished more of the times as I spent my years there.

I remember the first day of my Sec1. The sky was pouring as my mum walked me to the gate. As we were walking there, I remembered peering curiously at a group of Swiss girls walking ahead of us. Then, when walked into school, I got lost, and took a whole ten minutes to find the hall. Then I saw Jiayi, who was going "Yan Lam, I finally found you.."

And then I also remember thinking how odd it is in secondary school when the pupils are in charge of everything and the teachers just lay back. I remember thinking how kind swiss teachers are, unlike pri sch teachers who would scream, shout, and kick a big fuss about something you have done wrong. I also remember being the shy, quiet girl who seldom talks. I remember being the maths rep, collecting math books and also being in charge of the notice board. I will never forget the day when I ran away from Chinese dance and went to Guides instead. But sadly, my performance then was poor. I could not shout loud enough, do the drills "accurately" and was always being picked by the seniors. Till now I still don't understand why, but I didn't dislike Guides the least bit then.

In sec2, things went on a turnaround. I guess it was the happiest year in my entire secondary life. i remember acing most of the subjects, topping in class for lit too. My, the feeling was wonderful man! And then I also got the patrol second position, which was kinda unexpected when you look at my sec1 performance. The seniors told me I improved drastically. You know, I couldn't have been anymore happier in guides then. I loved my guide friends too. And oh yes, I remember having a crush on him too. Well, I don't think I'll ever forget that experience in my life. Its too hard to forget, I guess.

The sec3 life I experienced was a hundred-and-eighty degrees turn from my sec2 life. While I seemed to do excellently in my sec2 academic, my sec3 results were utterly terrible, especially amaths. My relationship with teachers were bad, especially miss Lim and Mdm Tang. Remember the sports day incident and the parent-teacher meeting incident? I guess I have never been that rude to teachers before in secondary school. For dunno what reason I also have a feeling that some of my classmates don't like me, even if I'm just being paraniod. This year is also the year I started not finishing my exam papers. Not being in the same class as him is also a terrible feeling you know. And most importantly, the group I am hanging out with in guide is falling apart..

My sec4 life is simple and plain, and also stayed out of trouble. In class, I hung out most of the time with Cailin and Wanling, and sometimes with Kasturi, Sammini and some others. In guides, I also also kept a low profile. On the bright side, my grades also started improving. I seldom go out with friends that year, cuz most of my free time are spent studying. I think I never saw our teachers so caring and spent so much effort and time on us before, especially Mrs Wong, Mr Ngoh and Mdm Tan. I will miss them. And yes, I thought I got over him already, but then...
Sometimes I even wonder if he knows. Many a times, I asked myself why am I even doing this, feeling like this, but I can't even find a reason myself.


And now: THINGS I WILL MISS ABOUT LESSON DAYS

1)Cailin, Wanling, and me sit together during recess and talk about random things.

2)Running into him anywhere in school, seeing him smile, and hearing him say Hi to me.

3)Mr Ngoh, his funny jokes and teasing during maths lesson. Emotional yet playful, I guess he is the type I will like...

4)Mdm Tan and her constant urging. She would go "Yan Lam ar..Slow and steady wins the race..". And well, I love her cute expressions and antics.

5) Mrs Wong nagging at us saying that we must all get As

6)Marvelling at the "pro" people in my class

7)Slapping, teasing and playing tricks on Kasturi for fun

8)Stall 5 food

9)Walking home with Cailin after school

10)Staying back after school with Cailin and telling her about my "obsessions"

11)Going bubble tea shop with Yixin, Amanda and sometimes Weiyun after school.

12)The peaceful serenity of the morning as I walk to school



Next: THINGS I WILL MISS ABOUT GUIDES

1)Shouting "Yes Maám" at the top of my voice

2)Staying back after guides in sec2 to talk and eat snacks

3)Looking at him in his cca from across mine:)

4)Outings, especially the amazing race at Sentosa and Raffles Place

5)Wearing guide uniform, especially the yearly thinking day

6)Pumpings, running and drills (no offense, but I really miss it)

7)Gossiping about teachers to juniors

8)Playing with Gabrielle's hair and poking her

9)Looking at Kasturi do funny things


Lastly: THINGS I WILL MISS ABOUT MY JOB IN SWISS

1)Sitting from across my counter and observe the people as they walk to and fro across the canteen

2)Talking to teachers and smiling at them when I walk pass them

3)Arranging and finding stocks

4)Talking to people while serving them

5)Getting up from my counter and poking Gabby when I spot her nearby

6)Slacking and getting paid (Duh?)


Well, I guess this shall be a short legacy of my experience in Swiss Cottage. I will definitely miss the sights and sounds of Swiss. And I'll cherish the memories, though it may slowly fade away as time passes.

As I headed out of the gates, I wonder when I will return to this all too familiar place, a place where I spent four unforgettable years, bearing both happy and painful memories, a place where I flashed numerous smiles and shed plenty of tears. I took a last stare,trying to get everything into my head and stepped out of the gates. ~~~

Ok Ok I shall update now. Anyway, I just heard of the announcement of the results is on Mon. HELLO?! I am seriously not prepared ok? I am not prepared to face the reality yet, if its a cruel one. No no no! Its not the results itself. It is what the results will bring. I will miss the people in Swiss. Fine. I shall admit. I can't bear to face the fact(if its the truth) that I won't be in the same sch as him. AHHHH... I hope God will help me in this .. Please please give me a chance.. I will treasure it.. I will.. I really will.. really.. Please~~

Hmm. enough of my nonsense venting. I shall tell u what I did for the past few days la..

Monday is the first day of work. Actually its more like helping out la, except that I get paid. Actually I accepted it cuz I wanted to be closer to Swiss, knowing that the days I spend there will be numbered. Kudos to Carina for calling me! Thanks a lot yea? So went with pearl that day and we( me, her, an auntie and a grandma who drive a mercedes Benz and wears a Versace specs)set up the booth in canteen. The adults are quite kind.. unlike at outside where they give u face and keep scolding u.
Before that, pearl and I went to look at sec1 orientation. Haha.. pearl was very enthu about wanting to be MC.. keep taking the mic.
o.O Didn't know pearlie like to slap guys though..
Anyway, also saw a someone who I was poking and she poke me back. She looked quite surprised to see me there. Whn she saw her admirer(who was buying a uniform), her face went red then she and her friend ran away. Saw her looking back at him at every few steps she ran. Hmm.. does that reminds me of myself?
WIERD NEWS: NO MORE SOFT DRINKS SOLD AT SCHOOL SINCE IT IS "UNHEALTHY". REPLACED WITH SOME DISGUSTING FRUIT PUNCH OF VARIOUS FLAVOURS. THE JELLY SOLD AT STALL1(NEW STALL)SOLD AT 20CENTS IS TASTELESS!

Tuesday only me and that auntie. Mercedes Benz granny who is the boss went to another school after helping out in setting the stall. I guess that day was quite slack cuz not many people buy uniform now anyway. Anyway, I suspect that auntie is racist.
This is what she said(in Chineses): Beware wheN there are a lot of ppl at around stall. Some ppl like to come in groups and only one person will buy. Then the rest of the friends will be talking and suddenly willl walk away with the uniform. And they are not even paiseh at all when caught. This is especially for M****s and I*****s.
See what I mean?

Today.. I went to sell uniform at ITE Bukit Batok and the other aunties! Actually, didn't know why boss still bought me there la. There the workers(mostly their students wo just graduated) were more than enough that many ended up slacking. This girl(Alice)was describing to me the uniform.
Boys: Shirt: Maroon, Blue, Yellow, Grey, White
Trousers: Black, Blue, Grey
Polo tee: Red, Blue, White
Girls: Blouse: Maroon, Blue, Yellow, Grey, White
Pants and skirt: Black, Blue, Grey
Polo tee: Red, Blue, White
WOW.. THEY CAN ACTUALLY MIX AND MATCH AND WEAR WHATEVER COLOR, TEE OR SHIRT AND FOR GIRLS PANTS OR SKIRT THEY LIKE. So cool man..lol
They have a mini supermarket there too..like 7eleven.
Ate at their canteen.. oh btw does all canteen food suck?

After the work there I walked home, since it was quite far from home and I never waled there before I guess it would be sort of adventure. Not bad, the walk.

Tomorrow I also sell uniform and its CCA orientation too. Woots~ Shall try to talk to the Sec1s and tell them about guides. And also want to see the guides and what they doing too. Hopefully Amanda and Yixin is coming too. =)

YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!

Today I played my first game of pool.
Okay, to be honest, I havenn't played before.
After service today, Liangwei was asking us(me and some others) if we wanna play
And we went.

A few of us( include me) didn't know how to play.
Me didn't know how to hold stick. >.<
So the guys taught us
My first hit was terrible.. couldn't even hit the target for five cm
But then later learned and improved..
Funny how when its my turn its always "Free Ball"
I can place the white ball(the one used for hitting) anywhere I like
And so everytime "free ball" I could strike
They were commenting that my targetting is accurate
but my strength is bad >.<

So I went for choir pratice today..
but dun think I can perform..
cuz performance is on 1st Jan and I haven't learned the hallelujah chorus yet
Too complicated
I am singing alto btw
There are 4 sections from highest to lowest - soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
Apparently, the teacher really recognises me ( I only went for practice twice recently)
Even from behind he knows its me

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! =) =) =)

Yea.. today is the 3rd day of Christmas yea. Haven't been updating lately la. Had a Christmas dinner with my family on Christmas. Sadly, there are only the four of us since the rest of my relatives are either in Hong Kong or Australia. Even my cousin's cousin's family, who migrated here from Hong Kong(just like us) migrated to Australia. Really really envy the people who have plenty of relaives and cousins in their country la.

Went out East Coast and Parkway Parade on Boxing Day. This is one of the favourite hangouts of my family other than Sentosa(so don't be surprised if you see me and my family there someday).

Today, as we were on our way to the club( we were going swimming btw) I saw my church choir instructor, who askd me to go back choir. Still thinking about it la. Well, to be honest, I'm not the type who faithfully go for all church activities other than Sunday pei xun.(I feel guilty of course). My churchmates are really friendly and nice people la, except that I am not that close to them except that I am more close to Kaikee.

Got the baptism ceremony just two days ago. Yep.. next year I am old enough to be officially baptised. And I dunno if I..

Went to Dunearn Sec to accompany my brother buy school uniform and books today. And the thing is, the #$%#$%#^#^ auntie thought I was the kid who is sec1 next year who is going to buy uniform and took out a size 32 blouse out for me to try. AARGH!! As if after spending four years in secondary school, I stilll don't look matured enough to be a secondary student. BooHooHoo.. I really don't know what to say..

And I guess I shall stop here..
